Community Theatre Project in Lubana, Latvia

Our Vision

At BATS, we hold a vision where theatre's transformative power is not confined to stages but reaches out to touch lives in profound ways. We see a world where personal and social change happens through the shared ex-periences of performance, where collaboration and diversity create a beautiful tapestry of unique narratives.

Our aim is to foster genuine connections, bringing together people from different cultures and backgrounds, and knitting a global network of artists, educators, and change-makers. This network, enriched by the arts, serves as a conduit to build understanding, to advocate for social justice, and to create positive ripples in our world.

We trust in theatre's power to question norms, to tear down barriers, and to kindle new ideas. Our commitment is to harness this power in creating a future that's brighter, more equitable, and full of possibilities. This vision informs everything we do - from our courses that fuel personal growth, to our organisational practices fostering innovation, to our community projects that empower collective storytelling. With Applied Theatre, we're not just dreaming about this vision, we're living it, one performance at a time.
